Hi All,

I am a backpacker and a psychology grad student. As I am nearing the end of my academic school-work, I'm planning another backpacking trip to S.E. Asia (right now, the plan is Malaysia and Thailand leaving in May- any comments? recommendations?). By 'nearing the end' I mean I am working on my dissertation research project. So, with a deep love and appreciation of the backpacking lifestyle, I figured, let me study backpackers. If you are interested in participating, check out my profile. Otherwise, any shout of 'hello' or input on S.E. Asia is appreciated!

cheers, and keep traveling!

Hi Michal, welcome to Travellerspoint!

There's abundant info about SE Asia in the Asia Forum, check it out!

Your journey sounds interesting to many students here perhaps...as mostly young Malaysians are still very new to backpacking...

Bon voyage,
Lee

Hi Michal,

now you have tickled my curiosity....Malaysia & Thailand...are these two countries the focus of ur study on backpackers...but u are certainly not looking at malaysian and thai backpackers, right? Maybe backpackers from the west & europe who are travelling through these two countries? Or have I completely missed the point?
