Strong insect repellant is your first line of defence against these pests
I heard that if you eat vegemite it makes them stay away from you.
use a good mosquito repellant or apply creams that avoid you from getting mosquito bites or use sprays that keep mosquitoes away.
Unfortunately for me , though repellent decreases the amount of times i get bitten by mossies it doesn't get rid of the problem as i always seem to get bitten really badly.... ![]()

Thats because of the Vitamin B in it which is repellent to the little critters, so if you don't like "vegemite" (Thats marmite to the discerning english person) you can take Vit B supplememnts, but you have to start doing it about two weeks before going to the place.
As for repellent, this generally contains DEET which is a really nasty chemical that is also carcinogenic (I know I know what isn't these days) but it's always nice to think about these extra less noxious devices for seeing the buggers off!!
