Just deciding on which hotel to choose from for a 2 night stay in KL.
I am deciding on choosing either Swiss Garden or the Hotel Capitol.
Not sure which is better in terms of location and cleaniness and friendly staff? Anyone can help me with this?
sorry to add to my post above:
one more hotel to choose from Nova Hotel as well..out of the three which one is the best and how would you rank it?
Swiss Garden (Jalan Pudu):Located at the very furthest end of Jalan Bukit Bintang, the Swiss-Garden offers easy access to Chinatown...and transport cos it is close to the bus terminal...rooms and service okay...
dont confuse this with swiss inn (class 4)...in the messy china town area...
Novotel Kuala Lumpur , Jalan Bukit Bintang. A newish hotel with good facilities, reasonable rates and decent rooms. Service can be slow and tiresome but staff seem to be trying their best.
Capitol , Jalan Bulan, off Jalan Bukit Bintang: A design-award winner and 'modern minimalist' hotel with 240-rooms complete with satellite tv, gym, internet facilities. Baby-friendly.
My own accommodation class code for these three is : 3 'Tourist'
They fall between:
5 'Bargain Basement' - "Basic with some at a cost to privacy"
4 'Value for Money' - "Small independent hotels with a few gems
carrying a single star or two"
3 'Tourist' - "Watch those tour-parties compare cameras in the
2 'Executive' - "Get those wheels on your Samsonite oiled and dream
of all those Frequent Flyer points you could earn"
1 'Pure Indulgence' - "Its no mistake that this city's airport code
also says 'KUL'"...
u want the entire list of my hotels & classification, etc ?
I take it you mean Kowloon?
Im staying at 58 Nathan road, but have been told that floor 12 is the best place to stay. Im on floor 13 (Kowloon Hotel & Garden Hostel) and its small, cheap, pokey but clean and its only for 3 nights.
I guess it depends on your level of standards!
Thanks for the info..it is very detailed. Like your class coding haa haa....
By the way, which of the three do you prefer? Can you please rank them in order of preference?
Clanger: KL means Kuala Lumpur not Kowloon..but thanks anyways..
somehow, swiss garden is my choice...novotel has a history of changing hands...capitol has chinese flavour (u know those china groups, etc)...walk across, turn right, and u have great hawker food stalls!
