Good morning fellow travellers,

MY name is Steve Mc Evoy and I live in London.I hope to visit Larnaca in February 2006 but would also like to spend 3 or 4 days on the Karpas Peninsula in the north.

Could anyone please advise me what difficulties I may sncounter when crossing the border.

Thanks for your help.

Steve Mc Evoy.

Members of the EU and USA can NOW cross the border without any hassle.
Drive, walk upto the border, show your passport and stright across.
If driving a car make sure you have ALL the car paperwork and insurance, driving lience etc.
Have a good time in sunny Cyprus and enjoy your trip.

As Jackboy says, it's really easy now. The only challenge we found was finding a border point, but they're all over the place in Nicosea - head to the dividing wall and you'll come across some.

Some other thoughts about Cyprus: if you're there in Feb you could catch some ski-ing up on Troodos; Curium is really interesting - an old Roman town and amphitheatre near Limassol; and the local food is fantastic.

Have a good time.
