Hi, I will be in Lisbon in a few weeks time and am planning to travel to Seville from there.
I have a Eurail pass but I see that there is no direct route between these destinations. I have read in forums that there is a bus service between the two but can't seem to find any information on the net. I've looked on Eurolines but it looks like they don't go to Portugal?
I am trying to find an overnight bus service, according to forums there is one?
Any help would be really appreciated!
Never did this by train (I went in Pourtugal/Spain with a rented car) but I think a good solution could be that:
Train from Lisbon to Faro (algarve)
Then froma Faro to Sevilla a bus:
From Lisbon to: Faro (5-10 daily; 4hr);
TO SEVILLE, SPAIN
From Faro to Sevilla (2 daily; 5hr).
BUS COMPANY WEB SITE:
Have a nice trip (both Lisbon and Seville are gorgeous cities)

i did this route via the Algarve. Stopped in Lagos and Faro - from Faro to Seville is an easy short trainride.
Check out this website for all train times aaround europe..hell and maybe even the world i haven't tried that one....
There is an overnight train from lisbon to seville. Trains in Spain are a bit slow. it takes 15 hours! you can drive in about 5. and the coach is about 8 or 9 hours i think.
I did Seville to Lisbon quite a few years ago by train. The trains have probably improved, but it was an awful journey involving a stay-over at Badajoz on the border and then a slow train across Portugal only to have yet another change just in time for the commuter train into Lisbon.
If you can find a direct bus, use it!
