me and my boyfriend will be in Thailand for three weeks in February. Want to make the most of our trip, so are interested in internal flights. Anyone have any advice? some have said that it is cheaper to book flights while still in the uk? or is it cheap enough to book them out there?
Also anyone have any recommendations for three weeks in thailand?
Bangkok Air do a Discovery Air Pass, which I think you have to take a minimum of 3 flights and they work out at $50 each, have a look on Bangkok Air's website. Bangkok Air is the only company that flies into Samui anyway.
I used this airpass in April, I just went to the domestic terminal with the dates and times of the flights I wanted and they booked them for me. It's also flexible, dates can be changed free of charge at the nearest Bangkok Airways office.
With only 3 weeks, flying makes sense if you want to see a lot of the country
That was very good info that loubylou give you but Thailand has great fast cheap bus service with great roads and you can jump on/off without booking.
Saves you waiting half a day/full day at Airports etc.
ALL I do is jump on appox 0800 and jump off appox 1200,max 4 hrs on a bus and stay 1night!!!!!then on a bus again.
Check the thread above/below yours for traveling Asia and you will be surpriased how far you can go.
Whatever way you go have a great trip and enjoy your travels.
