Of course it depends on the illness, but for just the usual cold and stuff I recommend a lot of sleep and vitamin C.

Carry a little jar of good old Tiger Balm. Easy to pack, and the little miracle cures everything from insect bites to nausea!

Yeah, lots of sleep and water. I also bring a pack of lozenges with me, just in case I get a sore throat.

Like a lot of other people, water, sleep and I also wrap myself in heavy blankets and basically boil myself like a hot potato . Usually soak the blankets in sweat and is really disgusting, but I've burned away quite a few colds that way.

Pepto bismol (did I spell that right ? ) for stomach upsets you can get it all over the world and comes in a nice pink bottle, its a bit chalky though.

I recommend Dactaril as well (not sure if I spelt it right) for any fungal infections.

It worked wonders when I got something weird and painful on my foot in Africa.

I carry a roll-on tube of peppermint essential oil with me everywhere. Best cure for headaches, earaches, stomach aches, and all kinds of other nerve-related complaints. It's saved me many a time.
