i am heading for Europe in april 2006. And am looking for a tourcompany to start of with. This so i don't have to look for hostels and even the sights. Am flying in on Amsterdam and want to see places like Bruges and Paris and might go to Germany for the soccer world cup!
Now i saw at my school a poster of this company, Rob's Roadtrips.Did someone ever travelled with them before, there program (www.robsroadtrips.com) looks pretty good.
Does anyone know a cheap way to get from Paris to Germany (Munich)?
Europe here i come!!!
Hmm, a tad lazy, are you?
I'm sorry, but unless you are a middle-aged American or a Japanese couple on honey-moon, Germany isn't exactly a country for package deals, especially as you already got a flight in. If you are on a budget, it does make sense to organize your trip yourself, because travel companies will either book you into decent hotels from 80 EUR up, which you will have to pay for in your fare, or the "hotel" wil be so run down that you would have been better off in a decent hostel for half the price.
Organising your own trip isn't that hard. A lot of people in Germany speak English, especially in the travel industry.
For getting to/around Germany, you should definitely check out the "Billigairlines", such as Hapagfly, easyjet, Air Berlin, Ryanair, etc.
For example, one flight from Paris to Hannover with HapagExpress (hlx.com) on Sat, Apr 1st is currentlx 4,49 EUR plus taxes. (But book soon to get these rates!) The train (www.bahn.de) is your best option for getting around in Germany.
As for the World Cup - make sure you got tickets before you go. Most of the Germans who tried to get them couldn't - the tickets were sold out within days, even though the price was outrageous and the security measures were bordering on being insane.
I would suggest looking into Easyjet.com They have pretty good deals on flights
