Thanks Clare (Clarife)

The Cambodia volunteering post is no longer pinned at the top of the Asia forum so you will have to search down a little to find it (or just 'pm' me directly). Include your email details and I will send you detailed information on what we are up to in Cambodia.

Try the Virlanie Foundation. It's a French (?) foundation that's based in Manila, Philippines, if I'm not mistaken. Most of the volunteers are either French or Filipino but I'm sure anyone willing is welcome. I think it's also directly affiliated with Amade, which was established by Princess Grace of Monaco.

Could I ask for some info also?? I have been volunteering in Greece for more than half the year the last 3 years running & dont have much money, but the work is too rewarding not to do.
Specifically I'd like to work with environmental or ecological organisations, but I am a trained TEFL teacher so am willing to provide these skills also. I have been doing marine research in Greece for endangered sea turtles and find the scientific and rehabilitation aspects of this role incredibly interesting!
If anyone has any info on FREE projects anywhere in SE Asia, please contact me! I have no set plans or date to return home and am available from early February.

Thanks, K

Hey everyone,

I would also like to find a volunteer opportunity in Thailand in February/March 2009. I am going to Thailand alone on holidays and would love to find a good safe place to volunteer for free. Please let me know if you know of any place.
( I heard there are some temples they need you to teach English, is that true? It would be a great opportunity)

Hey all,

I am also interested in doing some volunteering while over in South East Asia Reading through these forums it looks like the majority of volunteering opportunities are for teaching English or helping out children at schools.
Does anyone know of anything involving building, as I am an architecture student and think this would be more beneficial. Any help or suggestions as to where to start looking would be brilliant.

I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction - I will be in india for may and june 2009 and would really like to do some volunteer work - preferably free but can pay a small amount.
My main areas of interest are children and health.
Any ideas?

I also would like to do some volunteer work in SE Asia. However I find it rediculous to pay to volunteer your time. Could someone please send me some info. about free volunteer programs??
Thanks :)
