Hey there folks.. I am due to be sleeping overnight in heathrow terminal 3 on the 8th dec before flying out to Lima on the 9th... has anyone anytips? It is either that or £80 for a hotel.

I slepped in Charles de Gaue overnight in November. As for tips: bring a warm sweater (I was FREEZING), change for the coffe machine, a good book/music, and avoid the strange hippie-like people who walk around barefoot. I barely got a wink of sleep (too paranoid about my bags) but it was better than spending 100 Euro on a hotel room.

You may find yourself with several people who have overnight in Heathrow. I had to sleep in Schipol Airport on Jan 2001 and found many slept there as well but be prepared with the cold. As long as it is big airport, supposed to be ok.

hello!!!Ive slept at quite a selection of airports around the world for a couple of different reasons: a)too tight to cough up for a hotel for the sake of a few hours or b)Ive ran out of money!!!My experiences have varied from Osaka-Bangkok-Palma...quite a few to mention!Stanstead was the worst, was freezing cold and they switched the lights off as they had no flights between 12-4am!!!Heathrow isnt too bad though, one of the better places to stay!!!!you get to meet some pretty interesting characters though and you certainly wont be alone!just be prepared....take a jumper and some snacks and a good book!you must check this website out www.sleepinginairports.com lots of funny stories, tales of horror and reviews of all the different airports and peoples experiences!

Hi,

I use to have to sleep at heathrow for 5 hours every Sunday morning over the summer (For Work, waiting for flights).

Im not sure what Terminal 3 is like once u are through passport control, but its pretty crap before there.

I found the best places were in terminal 2, loads more seating then the others and doesnt take too long to walk between terminal 2 and 3.

u want the longer sets of seats without the armrests, sometimes u can find a gap of 4 or 5!
And in some of the quieter spots u can move the opposite seats closer.
