Majito, thanks for the advice, it has made me think a bit more about whether they are value for money, I'm wondering how much I could actually sort out myself...
They have recommended I book flights through them using STA, to ensure I travel with others members of the 'group' but at the moment the flights are working out about £940 (which is way over my budget!)
I'm going to give myself a bit more time and research before I commit!

I appreciate all the advice and comments on here, thanks alot. :)

Hi Guys,
It's great to see some interest our product. And interesting to read your comments.
I'd just like to clear a few things up. And hope my comments are taken simply as clarification, and not as a sales pitch in any way.

Firstly, with regards to the flights, we are more than happy for people to book with whoever they want. And if people want help, we have people at STA Travel who we can put you in touch with.

With regards to being value for money, you do get a tonne of stuff (see our website) and get to go as a group, and have a guide / host in Sydney for the first week. So we reckon it's great value.
(Work and Travel charge 699 pounds for a similar product.)

And finally, with regards to Majitos comments.. the recruitment service has nothing to do with the hostel, (we use 'Travellers at Work' and a few other recruitment companies), Citibank has 20,000 cash machines in Australia (and you can deposit money at any post office), and the Learn to Surf trip is proper trip - with Waves Surf School.

Anyway, feel free to check it out for yourselves. Shop around and compare. But most importantly, make sure you have an awesome time downunder!!!!

Thanks ozintro, I booked up last night! I just wanted to get some feedback from a few fellow travellers as not many people I have spoken to have heard of you. (Mostly people comment on worktravelcompany, of which I thought was a huge amount of money) Anyway after a bit more research and excellent communications from Ozintro I made my decision to book. I am however going to wait until the new year to book flights as they are nearing th £1000 mark at the moment!
