Anyone got any plans for New Years?

Going abroad for a few days? Celebrating it in a bizarre country? ???

Think I will try and get away this year, Copenhagen being the front runner at the moment. Anyone been? Worth doing?

I'll be celebrating Chritmas in Guatemala, my birthday in Belize, and New Year's in Mexico! Life is looking pretty sweet at this moment.

If you don't mind the cold and drunk Danes (!) it's not bad at all. I really like Kbh, and would certainly be happy enough to do New Year there again when/if I go back to live in Sweden.

As for me, it's Christmas on the Great Wall of China and New Years in Hong Kong, probably with a couple of other TPers in both cases if anybody wants to tag along.

Christmas I'll be trekking and camping in Petra & Wadi Rum - Jordan. Back home in time for my friends wedding on New Years Eve

Stuck in Sydney again. I've seen the fireworks display here so many times now and it never seems to change.

Anyone wanna trade places? It might sound crazy, but there are only so many fireworks displays i can see here before they grow old on you.

I too will be stuck in Sydney...not entirely sure what I will be getting up to as I get back home after an 8 day stint in Fiji on New Years Eve... will probably just play it by ear, ken to avoid the city and avoid spending to much money as I leave for 2 months away a week later... at home on the couch might be an option...

I will be in Leeds (UK) prob laying face down in a pool of lumpy vomit, after I've paid £50 to gain entry to a nightclub, or spent 3.5 hours of the night queing at an endless bar, bruised from been pushed and shoved around by the crowd who arent usually out but as it's new year feel they have to honour us with there presence. Yep thats me folks, dont you just love new years?...
