Having a bit of problem sorting out visas, I keep getting advised to get my visas for Cambodia and Laos in Chang Mi although I need to pass through (overland) the countries I need a visa for to get a visa, has anyone traveled E to W?..
My Itinerary is as follows:-
Sydney-Christchurch (overland to Auckland)
Melbourne-Shanghai (via Sydney)
Overland to Beijing
(overland to Mumbai)
4 Months worth methinks...
Is there anyway to get Cambodia and Laos visas in HK or Beijing?
P.S if there's anyone whos travelled overland E to W any info will be very much apreciated.
Here's a helpful website for embassies and consulates here in Hong Kong. I would assume if there is a consulate office for a country here that you would be able to apply for a visa. Cambodia and Laos don't have websites, but they do have an email address & phone numbers.
Looking at your itinerary, you'll need a multiple entry China visa too, or two separate China visas, depending on the length of your overland journey thru China. It's easy to get them here in HK so you could wait to get the second one when you are here. Also, you can easily get your India visa here.
We're planning a somewhat similar trip next Feb, but leaving from HK & we are trying to figure out when/where to get visas to many places. Confusing.
Hope this helps!
