hi, hope someone can advise.
on a se asia trip and have decided to fly out to northern india for 4 weeks. hoping to get my visa when i arrive in cambodia. has anyone had any experience in doing this? how long does it take etc?
any help appreciated.
Try this site:
They have all of the embassies around the world & you'll be able to find out if there is an Indian embassy or consulate in Cambodia. You can call or email to find out if you can get a visa to India.
Is there a reason you can't get your Indian visa before you leave for se asia?
Hope this helps,
thanks for your reply and the link martha. i only decided to use part of my break to visit india whilst i was in thailand... funny how the best laid plans get altered on a whim!
i'll give them a buzz. pretty sure there is one in the cambodian capital, but i need a swiftish turnaround as time is pressing.
Hey, no problem.
BTW, whatever you find out from them, could you post the results? We're planning a long-ish trip and will be in se asia / india too & it would be nice to know if there is an option in Cambodia to get an Indian visa.
Not quite the answer you are looking for, but i applied for a visa for India in Bangkok yesterday and it takes 5 working days to process the application for a foreign resident living outside the country of application, this is probably standard with most Indian embassies.
Thanks, this is the same as when I asked in Vietniane - although on another forum someone says that for $55 they got an express service one in penom pehn. Heading across from Surin in Thailand to Siem Reap tomorrow so should know in the next week or so - I'll post the result up here.
