Hi all, Am in chang mai at the mo and really wanted to book a trek
(prob 3 days). Could anyone recommend a good company to use (perhaps linked with a guest house). Just got the usual worries of stashing my gear etc.. Any advice from anybody who has done this before would be muchly appreciated. Cheers for now, Tony :-)

Most any travel agency would be happy to set you up with a trek. You are free to ask around to see what agency meets your needs best. Some hotels will store stuff for you with the idea that you will return and book another night with them.

The Montri Hotel sometimes offers this "storage" option. They are on 2-6 Ratchadamnoen Rd. (Across from the Thapae Gate.) Travel agencies in this area are used to arranging treks and tours. Top North Hotel is another place you can check on for storage options. Travel agencies may have some advice on storing your gear too!

I don't do walking treks any more, had enough of that in the military.

Too late now to advise you not to bring anything valuable with you or something you would be really pissed about if something ended up missing.
