One More time...
Is is possible for 2 people to stay in a hotel or B&B (or the like) in Dublin for one night for less than $100? We would like to stay close to Trinity College, and we will only be there for one night. We would rather not stay in a hostel.
Also, in Belfast. We will be there one night, and hope to stay near the train station that comes from Dublin.
Ideas??? I have been searching...searching...searching...
Can't help you with Belfast - we stayed in a dorm room. The train station is right in the city centre, though, so you should have ample choice for a hotel room. Remember that everything in Belfast is in pounds sterling, which is a more expensive currency than the Euro.
In Dublin, though, we stayed in a private room in a decent hostel called Marina House- about 20 minutes from Dublin centre by DART. The room was big and clean, and only 45 Euro a night (and we didn't have to share!). Call ahead, though, as private rooms book fast.
Almost forgot! The first time around we stayed at a B&B called Botanic Inn, in Dublin. It was decent - clean room, bathroom, and a greasy breakfast - for less than 40 Euro (per person, though). You can probably find lots of other B&B's for under $100 a night. That's a pretty decent budget.
I am greatful for your help.
Hey I live in Belfast and have been to Dublin a right few times. A great place to stay is the Camden Court Hotel, its about 5 minutes walking distance from the shopping heart of the city, and a short taxi from all the pubs. Its a 3 star hotel and is about $70 pp per night. You also get breakfast. If this is too expensive let me know and ill have a search for other places for you.
Belfast has a number of hotels and b'n'bs right in the centre including the Europa (4 star)and 2 Holiday Inns. The Europa is about $60 pp per night, the Holiday Inn is usually a bit cheaper. Hope that helps. Again if you need more info just ask!
