Hi, my name's Jo, and i'm currently on my gap-year in Toronto Canada. I'm working at the mo, but am hoping to travel round Ontario a bit too, and will be getting the train to vancouver in late May, then exploring that region for just over a month before flying home to the uk in July.
Is anyone interested in meeting up along the way? or even just meeting up in Toronto? I dont really know anyone here and i'm getting a bit bored of doing everything on my own
I have only recently recieved my working holiday visa for canada. I don't think I'll get there until later in the year maybe for the ski season. Otherwise I would have loved to catch up. I am curious to whether you had a job lined up in Toronto as I was also thinking of heading there for work, and how hard or easy it might be to find work.
Thanks for any advise you can offer.
I had accommodation lined up before i came out here (useful website craiglist.com), but as for work i more or less started looking abouit a week after i arrived, and found it in about a week and a half. the best th9ing to do is register with a temp agency immediatly, then look for things in between. the papers are the best thing, plus the internet. i mainly like call centre work, so i was lucky that theres alot going in that field!
hope that's of help to you
