I'm going to be travelling around 4-5 and plan to take my brother's digital camera. I'm one of those people who will take a photo every minute, so I'll need to transfer my photos to a memory stick or my iPod so I can continue taking more photos. I'm just worried about this. If I lose my memory cards/sticks I'll lose all the photos or if I damage or lose my ipod (hope not), I'll lose my photos.
Any suggestions? Burning onto a CD at internet cafe? Uploading them to your email account (will this take too long?) Getting them developed as I go and posting them home?
Don't know if I'd worry about it if I was you.
Just think what you would have done before the advent of digital cameras; you would have carried undeveloped film around with you.
I'd consider burning to CD, and posting the CDs home, or uploading to email as you said - shouldn't take long I wouldn't think (just a pain in the neck).
what happens if you lose your camera...or something goes wrong with the camera ????...this is more likely (mechanism failure), esp with digitals with their delicate mechanisms!
you can burn all the photos into cd's for like $2 at target and such.
just check the thread
How to Back-up digitals pictures in a foreigh country ?
. you will have a fair bit of idea.
