Hey,

Have a read of Peter Moores "Wrong Way Home." He travelled from London back to Sydney overland with his only flight being from Indonesia to Darwin as he couldn't find a boat. Didn't do the trans siberian though. I'm in Bangkok and trying to go the opposite way via the trans manchurian train. Also met a girl in Brisbane who had gone the same way your looking to and she said she bought her ticket in Moscow for 150 quid. I was also on a website the other day that advertised the tickets for US$250. Anyhow, hope thats some help.

Good Luck,

Stuart
