In a few weeks I want to go to St Petersburg. First I decided to go with Eurolines from Holland to St Petersburg. Unfortunately last week they told me that they won't drive to St Petersburg this summer! Does anyone know another option for me to go there? Another busorganisation for example? With an airplane is to expensive for me and I don't like travelling by flying.
So please tell me some good options!
(I live in Holland but just a few kilometres from Belgium)
Have you thought about travelling by train? It might be worth looking at the following site . . . . .I am not sure how accurate it is, since on the bus pages they still refer to eurolines, which you have discovered are not doing the route this summer. However hopefully the train schedules have not changed too much . . .
PS I had a look at Busabout.com, but appear to stay in europe only.
That's a bit of a bummer! Becky's suggestion of trains is good.. I would add to that that you may want to try taking a bus to somewhere closer and catch the train from there.. Perhaps a bus to Vilnius and then a train to St.Petersburg. Good luck with the planning. When will you be in St.Petersburg btw?. I'll be there from the 2nd -6th of June.. could be fun to say hello if schedules coincide
