hey everyone,

i'm travelling around australia for three months, from the start of june to the start of september. I know this is winter time in oz, but have heard that as u head further north it gets hotter. just wonderin how hot, what kinda clothes id need to pack etc.?

Hey Roz, Welcome to the site.

Yes, it is winter then - there is a huge difference between southern Australian and northern Australia around that time though. Up north you would be looking at a pretty nice 28C in what they call the 'dry season' (no summer / winter there). Down south you could find snow, more rain than normal and temperatures around 10C and below. If you are travelling around, it will unfortunately mean packing several different types of clothing - a proper winter coat for the south and shorts and t-shirt for the north.
