I will be leaving for Australia, Indonesia, and SE Asia soon, and would like to bring an MP3 player, and digital camera along. But once the battery runs out for those items, I will need to recharge them. Is getting a universal adapter(whatever the hell that is) going to solve my battery problems? Or should I try to find devices that use disposable batteries?(which I am finding difficult)
What is the best route? Get a universal adapter, and have many choices for which device I want, or to get devices that only use disposable batteries?
Definetly get a universal adapter, I have a box set by Voltage Valet that cost me only 20 dollars and has an adapter for almost every country in the world and good thing is that its only like 5 small plugs and comes in a small plastic box as well so its great for travelling with or if you know that you are only going to a certain country, just take the plug u need only and leave the rest at home. Disposable batteries would be a waist of time and money as digital cameras practically eat them. Hope this helps.
That helps a ton. Thanks man! I will go with the universal then.
I'd go for the universal adaptor. They should be quite easy to find. Basically, they allow your cord/plug to fit into any power point / power outlet regardless of the number of pins and voltage.
