I understand this general tourist ticket gets you into several places around the Cusco area. Does anyone have any thoughts on purchasing this? Is it worth it?

Yes, i think it's worth to get it.
The cost is just 70 soles or 22 dollars and you'll be able to enter all the ruins that are near the city. Also it gives you access to the principal churches and some museums. If it's the first time you go to Cusco try to buy it.

Highly recommended.

It saves you a few bucks as the tourist industry there is really picking up. I was there in July with my family and certain tours required it as they stopped at several sites in a single day...its also good for a few months...

Enjoy- its a fantasic place.

Hi All

The ticket just give you the entrance then you need to buy the transportation. The central point for it is Plaza de Las Armas.

You need 2 days to see all of then, if you do not have this time, or do not want to see all do not buy it or you will losse money.

basically all can be seen in City tour duration half day and Sacred valley tour one full day.
