i´m from Argentina. i´m going to new york, washington and perhaps philadelphia in february. i want to know if philadelphia is interesting to visit, what can i do there and how many and how many days is the best to go it?.
thank you very much and happy new year
Philly is worth checking out. it has a lot of intersting historical sites, museums, restaurants.
I agree with MissJane. Philadelphia is definitely worth a stop, especially since you'll be in NYC and DC.
Check out this website, which has some pretty good information:
Also, make sure you try a Cheese Steak while you are there...Philly's signature food.
Philly is definitely worth at least a day trip, tons of interesting things to see including the US Mint, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, some interesting archetecture and more. You should also manage to try a Philly Cheesesteak at Pats or Genos or one of the good reputations. The downside is that it's going to be cold at that time of year and many of the historic sites require a lot of walking and outdoor time to see.
Best of luck
I'm not sure how you plan on getting around, be it bus, driving, etc. but I was there about a year and a half ago and parking was absolutely impossible. Parking and traffic were probably as bad or worse than what it was for me in New York City.
