Looking for affordable all inclusive resorts for a Honeymoon

Travel Forums Central/South America & The Caribbean Looking for affordable all inclusive resorts for a Honeymoon

I will be getting married in July and my fiance and I won't have a lot of money to work with, probably about $1,500 or less per person and we are looking to go somewhere hot and romantic. I have not gotten the chance to travel EVER so neither of us have a lot of idea on where to look.

Any advice from some of you seasoned travellers would be SO appreciated.

Thanks and happy trails

I saw an ad for Go Travel Direct yesterday offering an all-inclusive for $699, all taxes in. It was probably for January, but it's worth a try to look. They also adverise Selloff on the radio a lot - take a look and compare. I haven't used either myself, but went to Cuba about 8 years ago for under &700. There may be hope for you yet!

Good luck.

Maybe Punta Cana is an option ? I hear great things about Punta Cana in the Dominican.

For that money you have a ton of choices and most of them will be pretty darn good. You might check the travel section of your local paper for some package suggestions. Everyone raves about Cuba, Club Med and Sandals are all over the place, great places in the Dominican Republic, Mexico. $1500 per person should easily do it.

Go find a site with some reviews, and find what you want. For a honeymoon I'd suggest you look for some places that don't allow kids - keeps it a lot more romantic. Some are specifically targeted to honeymooners.

If you are the adventurous sort who is going to want to see the country rather than just lounge at the resort full time consider things other than all-inclusives. You could spend a month in India, or Thailand for less than you are budgeting and stay in nice places and eat well too.

Good luck and congrats on getting married.
