Surfboard to the forehead

So I'm down the beach for a surf yesterday, and on my first wave I come off the wave and my surfboard hits me square in my forehead. Luckily it's only a small gash witha bit of blood and I can keep surfing (unlike a few years ago when I got 8 stitches in the top of my head).

Worse still, I get back to my car and find that I've lost my sunglasses. I actually think I went in the water with them on pushed up onto the top of my head. How dumb am I?

Anyway, I'm off to the beach again right now!

P.S. Where I surf you can sit on your board and watch the planes flying over which have just taken off. I love doing that. Different planes, different airlines, people coming and going....

Sounds like a blast! Well, other than the forehead injury ;)
You should carry liquid bandage with you, semi-water proof stuff.

haha-james i can picture that now!! yeh i can imagine you lazing on your surf board!

I had someone go smack bang into me with their surf board- a bit of blood and a briused feeling was all i escaped with! It must have looked like something out of a comedy! I seem to have that effect when i'm around! Wacked myself with my own surfboard once (no-one saw that one.)

The sunglasses you just wanted a new go break the news to your wife that your going to 'need' to shell out $$$$$ for some new sunglasses!

On the one hand, I feel badly for you. On the other, I'm thinking... the beach!!! At New Year's!!!! Grrrrrr..... $^$*&*% snow...

The sunglasses I lost were only a few months old, and they were not cheap (hence, I am not happy ).

Anyway, I know for sure how I lost them. Yesterday, whilst paddling out, I realised that I was wearing a cap and sunglasses (an old pair)(No wonder people were giving me weird looks). Must have done the same thing the day before and they came off.

Anyway, it's supposed to be 43 degrees in Sydney today (110 farenheit), so I might go out again.

One time I was surfing and my board got caught in a wave and went up and I was under it and it impaled me. Sort of. It didnt hit me dead center; it sort of glanced off the side but I got the wind knocked out of me and since we were on a sort of deserted beach, far away from people, my friend had to stitch me up right there on the beach, with no numbing stuff. It hurt sooo badly, and now I have a huge scar on my stomach.
