Happy New Year to all!! I was wondering if any of you could reccommend the cheapest transportation from London to Amsterdam, as I will be there at the end of January! Also if any of you would have any ideas on a great, chill, inexpensive place to stay in Amsterdam as I will be traveling with my boyfriend that would also be very helpful!
Thanks and cheers to all!
Any advice or reccommendations would be very helpful!
I flew from Amsterdam to London last year and the flight wasnt too expensive. I find if you can get a cheap flight you not only save time traveling but also a bit of money you'd spend on food and such during the trip if you were to take a bus, then a ferrie etc.
Look into some flights on Expedia or other online companies and you should be able to get one kinda cheap.
Flights from London to Amsterdam are not too expensive, in particular if you book in advance, with Easyjet or BMI (flybmi.com). I've done it several times, usually for less than 75€.
Also, there are cheaper but longer options, by bus with National Express, and the St. Christopher's Hostels (www.st-christophers.co.uk) have a very good value package by bus, with return bus trip and 3 nights accommodation in their Amsterdam Hotel / Hostel. Good place to stay, also, sort of a Art Hotel + Hostel.
Hope this helps.
I just looked at Easyjet.com and the tickets are going for 20 pounds each way including tax. i would buy tickets soon, as they go up as they run out of seats. Good luck...have a fun trip!
Here you can see your the cheap airline options to amsterdam http://www.ghptravel.com/htm/cfly/ams.htm
It could also be worth it to look at tickets with Transavia they don't fly to Amsterdam (from London) but there is a good bus connection between Rotterdam Airport and Amsterdam.
