If I won the lottery, I'd pay my mortgage off - simple.

Rules:
1) It is your project - meaning your idea
- IT'S MY HOUSE!
2) It can be similar to existing projects - YEP, LOTS OF PEOPLE DO IT!
3) You will be an active participant in the development of the project - I'D ACTIVELY WALK TO THE BANK AND THROW THE MONEY AT THEM.
4) Funding your RTW self-exploration trip doesn't count - D'OH!!

Fee free to take it whenever you want it! $50,000 would sure put a dent in it; a nice big dent, but it wouldn't pay it off

Can I buy more lottery tickets? No...? oh...

$50M is a lot, but it still won't touch social security solvency. Guess I'll leave that to AARP.

I'd probably take $10M and set up an endowment fund for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra so they can get past this crazy strike nonsense from last season. Kudos to their President. He's a smart man (in a tough situation).

Another 10 to set up an endowment fund for rural hospice programs (strictly rural) in my lovely home state of Kansas.

And while we're on the subject of endowment funds (love 'em), another 10 to the Salvation Army because they helped my family once when I was a kid.

Throw another 10 into Afghanistan to pump into their education system.

Pay off my college loans, take care of my parents, and keep the money rolling out to other charities.

Sorry--I just don't think I need $50M! I'll take a little bit, though, to live comfortably on. And travel.
