Hey--any day that always falls on a work day when almost no one (except for hospital folks and a few others) don't have to go to work! We'll take it!

No, not all Americans celebrate Thanksgiving that way, but a majority of us do. Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas are the three biggies when it comes to holidays. Because of their "nature", they are usually spent with families gathering together. It's that or taking a holiday away so "Aunt Betsy with the really bad breath" can't kiss you!

A few others? Perhaps you have never been to Las Vegas. The vast majority of hotel workers never get a holiday off. We are generally the busiest when the rest of the US is off. Just part of being in the hospitality industry.

Yes, a majority of Americans do celebrate Thanksgiving with the family, but men generally leave all of the preparation to the ladies. The men watch football and stay out of the way. A bunch of lazy sobs is what I am saying.
