If something really sucks, I tend to say, "that sucks"

For some reason, I tend to say "That's funny" in reply to just about anything - whether it's funny, ironic, touching, boring, or just plain interesting. Must be a habit... I end up rolling my eyes at myself.

In South africa the young crowd tend to say that absolutely evrything is 'hectic'...ive become quite attached to the word myself:)

anything new or thats really cool - 'That's Hot!'
if i agree - 'right on'
extended period of time since - 'Man, its been a minute since I saw you'
on the west coast they use 'hella' alot - 'That's hella cool.'
instead of really? or incredulous expression - 'Word?

And here I was lead to believe that Oz was the land of wacky slang.

When we make a mistake or can't mentally focus on something we say "my head's not screwed on right"

In the engineering world we'll go ask a senior engineer or expert for their "warm and fuzzy", also known as their expert opinion and technial approval.

In the Upper Peninsula we said eh at the end of every sentence-Man, is it cold out today, eh?
My kids say "Sweet" for anything they like.
My sister says "Get out!" When ever she can't believe something- "You paid how much for that dress? GET OUT!"
And since yesterday..I can't stop saying "Holyshit, a talking cupcake!"
;)
