Hey! I was just wondering.. is India, (or the major indian destinations) a place where you can easily chat with friendly tourists and the locals? What I mean is.. for example Thailand is full of packpackers and its easy to meet people.. is India also like that? Well, whats your opinion??

Hey

I travelled in India last year and did see quite a few backpackers, I dont think as many as in Thailand but you certainly dont feel alone. The people are very friendly especially in the Kerela & Goa (especially in Goa). You will find such a difference to the goans than the northerners, every where you go in the North people are at you for money, money, money..... Dont let that put you off though, I would defiently recommend India!!

India is quite popular with backpackers these days. You won't find any problems to meet other travellers.

You can come across backpackers in many popular places such as Goa, Kerala,Rajasthan etc.states.
People in India are friendly as you can see when you travel by train or by bus. They strike a friendly conversation with you at first and assist you even without askng for it.I couldn't find such a thing in europe during my travels. So don't worry, you will find lot of friendly locals.
