TV Company seeks Brits who are going abroad to realise an overseas romance…

A new TV documentary is looking for Brits who are leaving the UK for an overseas love. Mentorn, one of the UK's leading independent TV production companies, is scouring the nation for long distance love stories that are about to become foreign affairs.

Executive Producer Rob Carey says: “Everyone remembers the film Shirley Valentine where housewife Shirley’s holiday romance turns serious and she decides to stay on a Greek Island to be with her Greek lover. Leaving for Love is looking for men and women who are about to move abroad to be with their overseas lover.”

The documentary will follow their adventure as they say goodbye to family and friends, pack up their UK belongings and set off overseas, to be reunited with their loved one and begin their new life. We are looking for people who are willing to share their experience, both the good times and the bad, and have their love documented for posterity.

If you are interested to participate in our programme or know of somebody else who might, -snip-

We hope to hear from you!

I am so sorry! I am the person who posted the message but it is definately genuine!!!
Since we are looking in different areas I thought I post it under different topics.
But if you think that's not appropriate I would appreciate it if you could keep it in 'General Talk'.
Thanks!

Aw man, I left home to live with my love, but I'm not British...

There's bound to be a few around though!

My boyfriend and I are now planning for his departure from the UK to join me in Asia in a couple of years. Reason being a new mortgage here in UK, and time needed to save enough to start a life where the currency is not as strong as the pound. The next 24 months will be challenging to say the least.

Watch this space...

Oh no! I didn't realize you have to be moving so soon, else I would have passed this along so a certain somebody could look into it. Dang! I bet he would have gotten a decent haircut for TV, too!

I don't think he'd made it anyway... It would have been too much hassle for the TV station to subtitle everything he says so that people can understand his Northy Accent!

Would it count if the couple went back and forth between the UK and Greece. I have a friend that has been in a 3 year relationship and has been moving back and forth for the whole time. Let me know if it would count and I will e-mail her about the opportunity.

I have a really lovely story about how I met my partner, but again, I'm not British (I am Austrian) and he is South African...
But we met in New zealand, will get married in ZA in June as well as AUT.
But obviously that's not gonna be enough to become a 'movie star' *ggg*
