When going to and from Manila from the USA how do you get your flights? do you have to book each leg separately?
like Chicago to Tokyo and then Tokyo to Bangkok, then Bangkok to Manila or something?
i've been looking on expedia and travelocity and it keeps saying there are no flights available when i do Chicago - Manila
any help please?????
Oh, that's got to be wrong for a reason other than the destinations. I live in St. Louis, and that's not often a problem for me, even though our airport isn't as busy as O'Hare or Midway. It might be the dates that you've entered, but I would also suggest not purchasing tickets from Travelocity. I'll use it as a gage to see who might have some of the lowest fares (also checking on some similar web sites), but I nearly always end up purchasing my tickets directly from the airline I'm traveling. Nearly always cheaper.
Try EVA Air. They are based in Taiwan. I got a really great deal this summer to Bangkok ($850 RT from STL to BKK incl. taxes). The leg from STL to LAX was via American Airlines, but I booked the entire trip through EVA.
Try also some of the Chinese airlines (China Air, etc.) or some of the other Asian airlines. To get some ideas, use a couple of other so called bargain basement places like Priceline, Orbitz, Expedia, etc.
If you need more help, feel free to PM me. Glad to help! Just let me know when you are looking at traveling, and I can check out a few things.
Guess I should also say that Travelocity does wig out on me sometimes with that response. Usually, it's because an advertised fare has sold out, but I really doubt that you'll have problems finding a flight to Manila, and you shouldn't have to book each leg separately. Good chance it's only two legs, too (ORD to LAX, LAX to Manila).
hey man, srry for late reply and thx for the tip, i'm checking into evaair.com right now
damn, manila doesnt fly to manila on evaair, but maybe i use eveaair to fly to LAX for a little vacation and get separate flights from chicago-LAX
i never been to LA before so would be nice
