going to thailand in a couple of weeks for three weeks and wanted to book some internal flights. found return flight bangkok/chiangmai for £50 with air asia. was wondering if this was a good price? is it worth booking them from home or is it just as easy/cheap to book then once over ther. if do book them from here will it be a document that i print out because obviously they won't be able to send me the tickets
Also worth trying Tiger Airways (great value), and erm theres a few others I can't rememebr the name of! You might be able to get it cheaper than £50- I went all the way from Singapore to Bangkok for £30. However, you could also get a very comfortable overnight train to Chiang Mai for under £10 (saves you a nights accomodation too). You'd have to book the train or bus when you got there.
It would be just as easy to book flights online now, as when you get there, so long as you know your dates etc- you can't change them with the budget airlines. You could do it through a travel agent when you're there, but it'd cost more.
You don't need a normal ticket, just print off your confirmation pages once you've booked it, and they have a reservation code on them, and thats like your ticket. Easy peasy!
Use Air Asia.. very cheap...
