I will be going to Thailand very soon and will be staying at a hotel within walking distance of Kao-San Road. I haven't bought a digital camera yet and was just wondering if anyone knows around how much they sell for over there? Would I be able to buy them from the markets? Or should I just buy one from home?? What does everyone think?

make sure you remember that Thai electronic equipment may run on a different power standard than your home country. plus, the warranty issue can be a huge pain as previously mentioned.

I would jump over to the 'travel photography' section. Many of those posting there are professional photographers. Read some of the posts and PM ones that are knowledgeable about digitals.

Electronic goods in Thailand are not particularly cheap and i would be very surprised if you found any cheap deals. I would go with the advice posted before and buy at home.
