Harolds, Harolds had a plan
to get some money by a scam.
He had a girlfriend in the Philipines
who wanted to travel, or so it seems.
She needed money to go to the US
a rather odd story I must confess
Well Harolds requested financial aid
and there began his little charade.
Then a man from Texas came up with the goods
and got old Harolds out of the woods.
Now Harolds and his girlfriend can be wed
but wait! they need money for a double bed

heheheh this is priceless !!!

This certainly does sound like a scam- either by Harold on everyone here, or by a woman on a very trusting (and sad) victim.

It was interesting reading to catch up on those posts from January... lol.

I chimed in on this thread in the first few days then lost interest. It just did not ring true. Scams continue because sometimes they realize a payday. The Nigerian bank scams have been around for decades. As P T Barnum wisely observed; "There is a sucker born every minute."

Come on "Harold"- you have quite the fan club now-- We all really want an update now on your love life and financial woes..

(Sorry for the sarcasm- I couldn't resist.
For some bizarre reason I am fascinated by this thread.)

Yes seems to be a good suggestion. One way ticket from Philippines to US is only $500 US or you can get it cheaper depending on the season.

Harolds, if I was in your situation I'd sell my possessions (my computer for a start) and anything else to raise the funds.

This woman that you are going to marry, have you actually met her?

This doesn't seem to be right. What do you think of Filipinas? You can judge harolds since he can point out his situation but not the other party who can't defend herself. Most of the American's or other people in North America thinks that Filipinas only get married because they wanted to go to US. It maybe true and it's sooo SAD cause they will find out, it's still better living in the Philippines especially marrying an American that they thought could help them but instead it is them who works and takes care of their American husbands till they die.

Think why there are men who like Filipinas compared to other nationalities? Simply because Filipinas know how to keep a home and not just own a house or property.....but a home.

So I can't blame harolds for being so inlove.

However, harolds please take pity on the girl. The girl likes to be happy and if you think you would be a great burden to her then think again. Both of you should please one another.
