You only have to bring yourself. Pattaya has a lot to offer. Every one knows about the loads of bars and cheap restaurants. The hotels are cheap too! A 1000 baht room in Bangkok would be around half that price in Pattaya. AirCon rooms for around 300 to 350 baht are not unusual. Transportation is cheap - 10 baht on the taxi truck. Lots of travel agencies with a menu of available tours to the surrounding area.

In Bangkok find a place on Sukhumvit Road or the Siam area. From this part of Bangkok you can take advantage of the Skytrain (overhead rapid transit, like a subway in the sky) to take you to many places in the city. Patpong is the internationally known "go-go" area, Nana Entertainment Center, on Sukhumvit Soi 4, is another similar place (only cheaper.) Younger travellers like to go to the Khao San Road area, it's okay except there is no nearby Skytrain stop.

AirCon bus from Bangkok to Pattaya is 110 baht. When you take a taxi in downtown Bangkok only pay the meter price. If you arrive at the airport before midnight you can take advantage of the Airport Bus that will take you into many places in Bangkok for 100 baht.

Check out some good travel guides before you leave home and be prepared. You also have to have a budget in mind - like how much can you afford to spend each day - for everything!

Hi, I´m Miguel from Spain. I am 40 years old and i´ll be travelling around Thailand in February. I like to know Pattaya as well other parts of thailand.
Don´t forget to go to Lumpini Stadium to see Muay-Thai fights. Muay Thai is the nationa sport in Thailand.

hey guys, Pattaya and BKK are awesome places

1. cheap place to stay in BKK is place called Washington Suites, it is $20USD/night, has restaurant and are fairly clean, supposedly ladyboys area of town but i didnt notice anything, and even so who cares

2. pattaya TONS of girls, that place is most accomodating to guys looking for girls, good place is Sabai Lodge, sabailodge.com it is about 40-60USD/night, but is really nice place, only thing that i found that sucked about it is no internet in the rooms, but it is good location, right near Big C and near lots of bars too

3. pattaya go to Walking Street, you gotta see that at least once, it's all the way at the end of beach road (you'll know what beach road is once you get there)

let me know if you want to know anymore info, i've been there many times and have stayed there for LONG periods of time there in Thailand, and mostly in BKK and pattaya
