Hello everyone

Travel Forums Introductions Hello everyone

I tried to introduce myself here before, but somehow I can't find my topic, so I'll do it again.

My name is Selma, but Desiree is my first christian name, in Holland, where I come from, we have the difference between a christian name and a callname, so everyone calls me Selma, altough I'm registered as Desiree.

Yes, in Holland we like to do things difficult. I'm 19 years old and study international economics in Groningen, in the north of Holland. And I don't smoke weed every day, to be honest, I never tried it..

I found this forum, when I had some problems with a post holiday depression, I was just back from madrid, where I spend new year, and all I could think of was, I want to go again..

Hello Selma/Desiree
(Which do you prefer to be called?)
Welcome to Travellerspoint! Holland sounds very unique :)
Hope to see you around the forums!

Hi, thank you!

I react the best on Selma, but Desiree is fine as well.

Holland isn't that interesting, that is also the reason perhaps why I like to escape it as soon as possible

Home never seems as interesting as the unknown..;)
Anywhere else sounds more exotic/interesting/fun...than what we grow up with in our own backyards...
Either way...I wish you a life time of adventure/travel/fun!
:)

Welcome fellow Dutchie (you already posted in a few threads)!!! Escaping ASAP....have that same feeling. BUT....its always nice to have the Netherlands as a solid base. You can't deny that NL has excellent social services. And I guess Groningen is a fine city to study in, some excellent nightlife.
