stepsam has indicated that this thread is about Argentina

Is it possible to learn the basic language in six days? I would like to spend two hours a day with a teacher to learn Spanish if results are really possible. I arrive this Friday for a week. Any suggestions?

Are you serious with your question? The concept "basic language" is quite subjective... but anyway, I don't know what you spend to learn in 12 hours...

Suggestion? Visit the city if you arrive to Buenos Aires and enjoy with their fantastic people.

Regards, Aitor

You're quite right Aitor; if you have less than three or four weeks, don't bother about taking language classes, but try to interact with locals as much as possible. Most Argentines speak very decent English :-)

Come on guys some Belief...
"To say I want is to say I can" ... Of course also miracles no!
In a week of two hour each day with a private tutor ... no way you´ll no learn in this time the basic grammar structure and after in your journey you´ll improve it with a good dictionary...
Give a try!!!

There are many hours in a day. If you use them all the cram as if possessed, you might just learn basic Spanish. Might.

I have studied the bloody language for almost 4 years now (translator Spanish-English and native language Dutch), and even if I go to Spain I find it very hard to understand people when they're talking with their local accent. And yes, speaking Spanish is even harder. Pa' que sepas!

Good luck anyway!

Hola mis amigos. Yo completé seis dias de español. No está mal. Ester es muy buena. Ahora yo puedo hablar en español a los camareros y las chicas. Yo estoy contento. Muchos gracias. Hasta luego!!
