In a bar, I pay about 500-700 Icelandic Krona for 0.5 litres. About 5-8 Euros.

$5??? But he asked what the price of a pint was. I'd usually pay $4 0r $5 for a schooner of beer here (that's a glass about 2/3 of a pint). It can go up to $8 if you buy a pint of really expensive beer.

Bleh, stupid me. I quoted the wrong person. Wish I could give alcohol as an excuse for it

Here's the proper quote:

In Australia i pay about 5 Australian Dollars on most the beers i buy which is approximately 2.10 GBP or $3.74 US.

In Turkey I would usually pay about 3 TL or about 1.5 Euro for a Tuborg or Efes, pints. FYI, Costa Rican Imperial (good stuff) is about $1 US. Unfortunately, I haven't found it exported anywhere yet.

Hey Tway - stop going to the Irish pubs! They overcharge!!
In a nice neighbourhood bar (like Else's), you can get a pint for $5-6CDN

I like Irish pubs! They don't play that crap pop music. Although the Plateau is always a good place to go, too. Barracat and Plan B are good, if a little too trendy.

Here in Manitoba we pay about 4-6 bucks a beer in a bar (we dont call them clubs or pubs)
It all depends what time of year and what city ur in too!

ps. Its not like i know from experiance, my sister goes!

It's funny to hear how we categorize the establishments. Where I am, we call a club a place where there is a huge dancefloor, loud music, cover charge and the most expensive beer ($5-$6 bottle). A pub, is the classic British/irish/scottish atmosphere with good pints ($5-$7 depending on if it's an import) and a cozy atmosphere. Bars, are just that, a bar. Bare walls, flashing beer signs, really bad karaoke. Lol...if someone asks us about a little corner place, we say "oh, it's just a bar" Nothing special at all. But their beer is usually the cheapest ($3- $4 bottle). ;)

But now that the warmer weather is coming our way, we are headed into Hess Village season...YAY!!!

Imperial beer is great!!! i used to drink Pilsen but it gives you real bad toxic breath in the morning!!! I have managed to find Imperial in Barcelona ( hugely expensive!)

The average cost is Spain uses to be €3, but as a mate has said before you can find beers for cents and for a leg, an arm and an eye. It all depends on where you go.

Me? I don't usually have to pay if my beer is on tap.....the one I make. Yup, it's a tough job, but someone has to make the beer.....

Yup, that's the one!!! ;)
