I want to learn some spanish before i get to central america so after spending what seemed like hours in a local bookshop trying to decide which spanish language course would be best for me i ended up buying the Berlitz New Basic Spanish (the best selling course for beginners it says on the back).
It comes equipped with 6 CD's and a book to help.
So i put the first CD on today and within seconds i was gobsmacked.A conversation was going on in Spanish and i was asked questions in English about what was said.
I know all of about 5 Spanish words in total and thats only because ive heard these words mentioned before from people talking Spanish while i have been out and about on my travels.

All i want to do is start from the beginning so at least i know abit before i get to Central America and then i can go to a language school when i get there for some lessons.

Does anyone know of any language courses that i can buy that are for people who know a total of 5 words?

easy, fun...and I love the fact that if I don't know how to say a word...you can push the little button and it says it for you!
