I was going to put an answer in the "Anyone for a Game of..." thread, and realized that probably only a handful of Canadians would get the reference (I think - although you never know!).

So.. why not a "Do you remember?" thread. Whatever comes to mind!

I'll start... "Do you remember You Can't Do That On Television"?

D'uhhhhhh..I heard that!

SchoolHouse Rock... and Kermit the reporter telling you to dial 5555 if you had any information about the cookie robbery at Mr. Hooper's store...

SchoolHouse Rock

Yup. In fact, a few years ago, they put out a CD with all the songs re-done by alt groups. My favorite was "Verb: That's What's Happening" by Moby. Though "Conjunction Junction" was pretty good too.

Anybody remeber Diver Dan and Baron Barracuda, televised right after school let out?

I like Zero - My Hero - SchoolHouse Rock was great and always followed by In the News with Christopher Glenn.

And I remember Diver Dan...

Does anyone remember Andy's Gang hosted by Andy Devine and his frog puppet named "Froggy"? To get Froggy to appear, the audience would have to yell, "Pluck you magic twanger, Froggy!!" In a puff of smoke - he'd appear! They showed old westerns starring Roy Rogers or Hop-Along Cassidy, etc. Great stuff!!!

This ones a bit silly but I got a corker of an email the other day called " the 90's..." This will probably only appeal to those of you from the UK but, it had various things such as the memorable telephone number from that saturday morning show 'Live and Kicking'... 0181 811 81 81!!!!(how could you ever forget?!?!) things like "the sweater shop", Exclamation perfume from superdrug, and this was the favourite which made me laugh out loud....... Coffee Shimmer Lipstick from Rimmel!!!!I wouldnt leave the house without it and in fairness looking back it was the most vile colour ever!!!!everyone wore it!!!!

Isa's dancing frog reminded me (for some unknown reason) of Fruit Stripe Gum - the one with the zebra on the pack. That and Lick-a-Stick were our snacks of choice.

And who used to say a-la-peanut-butter-sandwhiches! instead of "abra-cadabra"...

Bottle Caps ... man, I used to love those. Came in the pack kinda like sweet-tarts.
