Hey guys.

Does anyone have any advice to stay in shape while overseas? I don't want to spend alot of time in gyms, but I don't want to come home twice the size as how I left.

Thanks.

hm, shouldn´t be such a big problem. Of course it depends on what you are planning to do but the best thing would be to go hiking a lot and to use your feet as much as possible, i guess. Too many beers aren´t that good for not putting weight on, compensate this with a lot of dancing. Otherwise just don´t eat too much noodles...

I always tend to lose weight when travelling, all that walking around, hauling the big heavy backpack around, and you get into weird eating patterns!!!Its always a good thing!

Hi-

The best way to lose weight during your travels is to go to an 'expensive' country.

I went to Iceland for 8 weeks and came home 2 stone lighter.

£8.00 for a BigMac Meal. £6.00 for a 25cl Viking Beer. £3.00 for bread and water.

People in prison ate better than I did on that holiday!

Enjoy!

when i was travelling with my friends, i had rice for b'fast, rice for lunch and rice again for dinner.. (too much.. i know) but i balanced it out with walking.. no.. wait.. i actually lost some weight..

but the walking.. was damn tiring.. we walked from 7am up until 10pm every day.

so, i guess, you could try our way...

good luck

get a bicycle dude! theyre great for getting around big cities as well as keeping ya trim! but make sure you invest in a good lock as ive had mine stolen lately. Theyre also reasonably cheap to buy!

I'm thinking the same, i cant take every pair of footwear going, wanted to take me trainers for running.

Obviously depends where you are going but walks do you a lot of good espec. for toning and swimming/surfing-this will defo keep you trim!

Like a lot of the others, I don't gain weight while travelling either. The walking, standing in line, club dancing, schleping the huge backpack up the stairs pretty well takes away the fat.

If you're looking for a quick and easy exercise, do some high kicks and shadow boxing. You don't need to have weights or gym equipment, or a clean floor to lay down on, or even lots of room. And it's great for cardio, flexibility and muscle toning.

Think I actually lost weight whilst on RTW trip, despite eating loads - just doing really active stuff all the time, particularly in hot climes, really seems to burn the calories.

For me the best way to lose a lot of weight is travelling. That's why i'm used to travelling before the summer
