i guess my questions are pretty basic. I'm going back home (from US to Argentina), and i want to see Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. I'm interested in doing outdoor activities like hiking, visiting Inca ruins, Galapagos, jungles, Garcia Marquez' house (? this just occurred to me!)etc. (i thought about doing it by sea, but haven't found what i'm looking for)
1-What would you say is the ideal time frame to do this? I read someone said you should spend about a month in each country if you have the time, do you agree?
2-Budget, just to give me an idea since i don't have a clue! (but i do have a limited bugdet...)
Galapagos will for sure take a big chunk from your budget!
flights from Guayaquil/Quito apr. 350.00 US
cruise between the Galapagos Islands another 500-1000 US $
It is fantastic to see the differet Islands and the animales there.
you can't go to the Islands without Guided tours !!
so,go and safe mony if you wanna go there.
Thank you marlis!
gosh, i didn't know galapagos would be so expensive...still, i'm going there. Maybe i'll have to skip venezuela and colombia altogether.
Thanks so much for your reply, that sheds some light on this.
good, skip Venezuela and Colombia, not the safest countrys right now,
Galapagos is really something special.
Start from Guayaquil, there are 2 flights around 10-12 am to Baltra.
or you could try to get a good offer for a packet.
It is cheaper to book in Ecuador!
Take care in Guayaquil!
The Malecon aerea is very safe!
enjoy Galapagos and the nature there,
