Hey,

I spent last winter in Perth from around May to July and it pissed down with rain almost constantly. There were a couple of days of warm sunshine but it was generally cold & wet! If your after sunshine, head further north in WA.

Ha! that is funny coming from a Scotsman!!! I loved Scotland by the way!

March can still be bloody hot here with April and May being a great time to travel around. June is definitely our winter months coming in and although we are Australia - we still experience winter rain and cold but nothing like the UK thats for sure!!

The great thing about WA is that you can start heading up the coast to Exmouth and Broome and beyond and leave the winter blues behind you!

So my recommendation is to go South first if you arrive in March, then around May/June start going North and enjoy the sunshine!!

Happy travels!

I was in the South West of WA (Margaret River which is about 2 hours south of Perth) I was there between June- Sept which is technically winter, it rained a heap of times, when it was sunny it was nice but to be honest it didnt happen that often. Generally wet...about 20c most days though.
