i will be staying 1 day and 1 night in london at the end of March before heading on my travles around the world. It will be a Friday night so I am looking for a lively hostel in the heart of the city to kick-start my travels. ive never been to London before so any advice would be great. Including what to do in 1 day!
Have a look at these :
Central London hostels
One day aint long so decide what kind of thing you want to do...Sites, museums, art, culture???
Not sure if this will be of any help, and not sure where its located but theres a wakeup! hostel in london and if its like the Oz one than it'll be great. I'm sure it'll be roughly the same.
Check it out... http://www.wakeuplondon.co.uk/
I've been two times at the wakeuplondon, the last one for the end of the year.
I point out that my experience in hotels and hostels is not that big, but i must say it was ok , i've got no problems. The hostel is clean and very basic. Highly recommend to get the private facilities, b/c the shared ones aren't the best (but not the worst). It's a personal situation, however. The hostel is in Paddington, close to the train station and at least a couple of tube station (Paddington and Lancaster Gate) + it's close to Hyde Park for a walk.
I found it one of the cheapest in London
