Has anyone stayed in 'the pink house' hostel in Sydney?
Ive been on the website and read quotes about how good it is & it does look like a nice place. Not too expensive either. Would like some other opinions if possible.

thanks

Hi patience,

I've stayed in the Pink House and it's a relaxed, nice and fairly small hostel. It isn't one of the cleanest, but has two lovely outdoor-patios where you can easily meet other travellers. Also I found the people working in the hostel very helpful and friendly (ask for Janine's walking tour of Sydney). Kings Cross isn't the prettiest suburb of the city (can become a bit dodgy at night), keep that in mind if it's important for you to stay in a nice area.

Hth,

Steff

Stayed in the pink house for a week last year. Definately not the cleanest place i stayed. When i was there they changed the access code at the front door every sunday. Forgot to get the new code on the sunday, and we were stood knocking at the front door and window for ages that night. One of the guys who worked there looked over at us, but waited about five minutes before he decided to let us in. The people staying there all seemed to have been there a while, and didn't really chat to newcomers.
Location was fine, although its close to kingscross, it is quite quiet.
