Help! In all my years of travelling, I have never organised or coordinated an organised tour/trip for a group. But here I am now...caught in a situation......

As part of my job, I have to organise a study tour for a 30-member team, comprising ecologists, natural resource management experts, conservationists who sit in the Management Core Plan Team of the UNDP-GEF Funded Peat Swamp Forest Conservation Project (Malaysia) to Cambodia.

The trip will include a 3-day study trip to Tonle Sap Environment Management Project sites, including the bird sanctuary, Gecko, etc.

I have also identified the Sambour Village community forest management project in Kompong Thom as the other site visit.

It's a 5-day trip, starting in SR and ending in PP via Kg Thom...As a backpacker, I am familiar with places in Cambodia..BUT I am neither a travel agent nor a tour I need some help from you guys out there...CAN YOU GUYS RECOMMEND (based on your experience) ANY RELIABLE TRAVEL AGENT(S) IN CAMBODIA WHO CAN BE THE GROUND HANDLER FOR THIS PACKAGE WHICH, AS YOU CAN SEE, IS NOT "TOURISTIC"...?

I need to get this done soonest as the departure date is March 7-11.

Any assistance/suggestions will be appreciated...PM me,if necessary [as naming agencies in the open forum may be seen as a promo].

[I am posting this here in the hope of reaching out to a wider audience...]

Wow, that sounds like quite the exercise in planning! I'd hate to have that job to do ... definitely sounds like something for a good travel agent. Are there any that you've found that assist groups specifically?

I have already drawn up the itinerary, and as far as the ground handler is concerned he has just to follow it...i have also decided on the hotel, food outlets ( i finalised this when I was there recently cos some members of the group are muslims) what is left is only airport transfers, boat charters, coach rides, guides, etc... this is the hassle....i have not found one in cambodia yet that i feel can handle specifically a group like you have one in mind ?

Hmmm, no sorry. I would think it'd be easier to arrange with all those things already mapped out like that.... good luck!!
