Jayk has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

Hi guys and girls.
My boyfriend and I are planning to Travel around SE Asia from May - September. We want to spend the first 3weeks to 1 month just chilling out on a quiet island in Thailand or anywhere else thats really pretty, with lots of nature and clear water. With cheapish accomodation, beach shack/bungalow, no t.v. or aircon needed. Hammocks and electricity (music) are a must.
Also safe enough to leave our stuff in the room or safe, as I will be travelling with my laptop, cash and cards.
Any suggestions?? Best beaches and accomodation?

Hellooooo! As for thailand: A lot of the more remote beaches have generated electricity ie: only a couple of hours electricity at night so you need to rely on a trusty torch or candles!!! Ao Ton Sai in Krabi is kinda remote but it is very quiet and more orientated to rock climbers and I couldnt handle the lack of electricity! Bottle Beach on Kohn Pha Ngan is beautiful and very quiet but once agiain it relies on generated elecetricity. You might want to try East Railay on the Krabi peninsula...it was my favourite place of my whole trip, its really chilled out and relaxed but still has the perks such as electricity!!!We stayed there a while as we loved it so much...theres a choice of West Railay beach or Laem Phra Nang bay which is beautiful....if you want to be a bit more active theres a crazy jungle walk up to the Lagoon or across to Ton Sai, there some caves to visit or you can get a longtail for the day and go around all the surrounding tiny islands and quiet beaches! Theres plenty of music and socialising going on but its very low key and chilled out...a few little bars with a good crowd and decent music! We stayed in the Viewpoint bungalows which were unbeleievably cheap but nice and clean!!!We had our own little balcony so sometimes at nighttimes we would just kick back there for a few quiet drinks with cute monkeys for company!!!Its really cool, I loved it there!!!Ive since told a few mates to go there and they have also fell in love with it!
