Looks like I'll be landing in San Pedro Sula on the night of March 7th... I'm looking to stay at the Gran Hotel San Pedro, since they appear to be the least expensive, most central and I can reserve via their website - if they answer - Are their buses from the airport at night or is it better to take a cab?
That is a good hotel...best to take a taxi from the Airport if arriving after dark, negociate the price with the driver in advance, should be no more than say 8-10 dollars, change USD to Lempiria in teh airport on arrival. San Pedro Sula is fairly dangerous at night, so don't go out on teh street late by yourself, if you do take a taxi. It is not advisable to take city buses in Honduras or Central America when you have your documents and valuables with you..for all you need to know about Honduras log onto to http://www.honduras.com and click onto Honduras Tips section (English)
"say 8-10 dollars, change USD to Lempiria"
How many Lempiria's would that be?
